PU-ITTC: Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre

Establishment and Governance
Pursuant to the Department of Higher Education, Tamil Nadu Government Order (GO) No.6 dated 19.01.2013, Periyar University established its Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre with a focus on:

• Fostering innovation and entrepreneurship
• Promoting technology-based ventures
• Supporting information technology and emerging technology startups
• Facilitating industry-academia collaboration

Leadership Evolution:
Initially coordinated by the Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science (vide Letter no: PU/U/Estt.D1/00997/2014 dated 15.07.2014)
Elevated to Director-level position to ensure effective leadership
Current leadership transitioned to Professor and Head, Department of Environmental Science (as per 114th Syndicate approval dated 6/11/24)
Official name change from ITTC to PU-ITTC approved by University Syndicate
